Day
1 Thursday March 16, 2017 It was 20 degrees at 7AM this morning.
Kind of a cool morning to start a camping trip but it will warm up
hopefully. We departed for Myrtle Beach South Carolina State Park
Campground about 9AM. After a pleasant 3 hour drive we arrived and
setup in site 4 for our 3 night stay. We are meeting two other
couples. The men will attend the annual Run to the Sun car show
Saturday while the ladies will check out the shops at Broadway at the
Beach.
Day
2 Friday March 17, 2017 After a trip to Camping World and lunch we
relaxed and did some reading and took a hike on one of the park
trails.
Day
3 Saturday March 18, 2017 Dean, John and I went to the car show,
while the ladies did their thing. There were over 3,000 cars/trucks
of all years, makes, models and colors. We walked for over 5 hours
and still did not see all of them. There were some really beautifully
restored vehicles on display.

After
returning to the campground and resting for awhile we all got
together and went to Crabby Mike's for some seafood for dinner. The
seafood was great, plentiful but kind of pricey and we had a good
waitress and we had a good time.
Day
4 Sunday March 19, 2017 We packed up and departed about 8:30AM for
Freightliner Service Center in Gaffney, S.C. We had an uneventful
trip and arrived and set up in site 5 by 2PM. Tomorrow they will
perform the annual service on the chassis of the motor home.
Day
5 Monday March 20, 2017 We had the motor home ready for the service
at 8AM and got it back about 4PM. It took about 2 hours longer than
normal for this years service. They found a couple of items that
needed to be replaced – the belt tensioner, AC belt and the sway
bar bushings. Sure glad they found them or we might have had a
failure of the road that would have required a roadside service call.
